INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Adjust the tension rods so they fit snugly, without bending, in the window casing.
  2. Insert the tension rods into the pockets located at each end of the fabric.
  3. If the rods are shorter than the width of the fabric, allow the fabric to gather on the rods making sure the ends of the rods are exposed before installing them in the window casing.
  4. Insert one rod in the window casing pressing it against the top of the casing without allowing the fabric to touch the window glass.
  5. Insert the second rod inside the window casing pressing it against the bottom of the casing without allowing the fabric to touch the window glass.
  6. If the fabric is longer than the window casing the fabric will drape or hang loosely. To make the fabric taut remove the bottom tension rod, roll the excess fabric onto the rod, and place it back in the window casing.

HOW TO ADJUST THE LENGTH OF THE TENSION RODS

Length adjustment is achieved by rotating one side of the tension rod as shown below.

IT IS NEVER NECESSARY TO BEND THE ROD. IF IT BENDS THE ROD HAS NOT BEEN ADJUSTED PROPERLY.

DO NOT BEND THE TENSION RODS.

OPENING and CLOSING

For maximum energy saving allow the Energy Cinch to cover the entire window as much as possible.

The Energy Cinch can easily be adjusted to take advantage of sunny days by removing the top tension rod and placing it back in the window casing next to the bottom tension rod, or removing the bottom tension rod and placing it back in the window casing next to the top tension rod.

Adjustments can also be made by rolling the fabric on to either of the tension rods to expose part of the window or all of the window.

THE ENERGY CINCH IS PATENT PENDING
